Top 10 Reasons To Buy American-Made Products

"Buy American!" may sound like a slogan by American manufacturers to promote their own products. The truth is, however, that there are many important reasons to consider buying American-made products.

#10 - SAFETY

Foreign labor standards, unlike American labor and safety laws, allow unsafe worker conditions in many countries. When you buy American-made products, you not only support American manufacturers but also American workers, safe working conditions, and child labor laws.

TESTING AND COMPLIANCE

The United States has in place laws which are designed to help consumers and manufacturers to produce quality products that are safe for all. With guidelines like Proposition 65 and compliance regulations and various types of testing, you are guaranteed a safe product and can be confident in having the best.

#9 – US ECONOMY

Profit earned from orders shipped abroad rarely benefit the American economy. When you buy products made in the USA, you help keep the American economy going and growing by keeping your dollars here working for you!

#8 - ENVIRONMENT

US manufacturing processes are typically cleaner for the environment than some in other countries. Many products sold that are produced in other countries are manufactured using dangerous, heavily polluting processes and chemicals. When you purchase American-made products, you know that you're helping to keep the world a little cleaner for your children.

#7 – FAIR WAGES

When you choose products made in the USA, you contribute to the payment of an honest day's wages for an honest day's work. Many countries have no minimum wage restrictions, or the minimum wage is outrageously low. The United States is one of the few countries with regulated wages, this will also help to preserve our economy and create jobs for those living in the USA.

#6 - INDEPENDENCE

As the USA continues to grow as a world power, we are also continuing to grow industrially. We are able to look to our own resources rather than looking to other countries for support. As we continue to seek out our independence we will be able to bring more business to our country, and continue to make our mark on the world markets.

#5 – FINANCIAL FREEDOM

The huge US trade deficit leads to massive, unsustainable borrowing from other countries. When you purchase domestically made products, you are actively doing your part to reduce the US’s trade deficit! Politicians can't do it alone (if at all). Only by keeping our jobs and dollars here at home can we get back to growing America.

#4 - PROTECTION

Foreign product safety standards are less extensive than those here in the USA. For example, poisonous levels of lead are in tens of millions of items shipped to the USA. When you buy goods made in the USA, you can be confident that American consumer protection laws and safety standards are upheld in order to protect your family.

#3 – QUALITY

Many people look to overseas products to lower pricing. In order to lower prices many overseas suppliers use lower quality products, by using USA made products you are receiving a higher quality of product. Also by using a USA made product you can receive products in a faster time frame than having to outsource your order to a different country.

#2 – SECURITY

By using USA made products, you are helping to secure future business within America. By avoiding imported products you help ensure that the Unites States will not be dependent on other countries for goods. In times of political conflict it can be difficult to continue trade with other countries. By continuing to use American made products we will be able to maintain trading and producing during those times of conflict.

#1 - FUTURE

It's not always just about finding the lowest price. It's about keeping jobs here in America and our ability to provide for ourselves and our families. It's about having a bright future for our children. When you purchase domestically made products, you are helping to keep yourself employed by helping to keep your customers and other Americans employed. ...it's no longer just a nice thing to do, it's now a must do!
